YT2095 Posted April 5, 2006 Share Posted April 5, 2006 I`m actualy suprised that guys Green meal (it wasn`t gunpowder) actualy caught fire with grinding to be honest, technicaly it shouldn`t happen! unless of course there was an impurity present. just goes to show, you can NEVER be TOO careful! YT2095 Posted April 5, 2006 Share Posted April 5, 2006 alsorts really, too many to list, but any Chlorate would certainly do it, Iron even certain types of grit possibly even the mortar/pestle he was using due to friction or at a push even a static charge??? it`s all pure speculation, but it would have needed Something to start it off. it IS best to ball Mill the ingredients seperatly or at least damp your green meal before doing anything like that (you have to anyway to make Propper Black Powder).
