Platinum or White Gold I know that white gold is coated with Rhodium once a year, is Rhodium stronger than Platinum? Thanks in advance!

blike Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 If I recall correctly platinum is harder than white gold. White gold is actually regular gold mixed with some white metals. Thats why white gold needs to be coated anually, and platinum doesn't need to be.

We are just adopting those names. White Gold is called White Gold because it is, not because of what it is.
