blike Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 I just added a "MS Word" style editor so that formatting your posts isn't such a pain in the rear. Here is how to enable it: Step 1: Navigate to your UserCP Step 2: Go to the options tab Step 3: Scroll down and click "Yes" to enable the editor Step 4: Submit Modifications to accept that blike rules I will add this to the 'quick reply' box later today. If you can't get it to work properly, PM me and I'll try and help you out.
Skye Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 I like the wysiwig-ishness but not the link and quote options aren't as as useful.

Dudde Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 double posting is the work of the devil I refuse to ever click "submit modifications" again nice pictures though
Glider Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 This WYSIWYG is very cool. I like this a lot (even though I don't like or use MS Word *spits*). I have always used WordPerfect, and will continue to do so until they hire a Psych. Dept. IT tech big enough to make me remove it from my office computer (not likely in the forseeable future).
Glider Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 What the hell? All the wysiwyg formatting I did in the previous post disappeared as soon as I posted the post. Dagnabbit!
Glider Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Rats! What's the point o' that then? It all looks exactly the same.
blike Posted November 10, 2003 Author Posted November 10, 2003 something must be broke then, testing 1 2 3
blike Posted November 10, 2003 Author Posted November 10, 2003 hrm, worked for me. try it again, what exactly did u do
Skye Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 test Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I'm in exams now. Just finished one which was actually pretty nasty, the person sitting next to me started crying half way through. I wasn't bitching, just there doesn't appear to be a quote button in the word box.
blike Posted November 11, 2003 Author Posted November 11, 2003 oh i see. if you want to quote posts, simply check them before hitting reply.
Glider Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Dudde said in post #11 : Glider TRIPLE posted  Aha...they were in fact, three consecutive tests. The wysiwyg system seems to allow me to add font characteristics (bold, underline, italics), But not colour...ah...er...ok, It lets me add colour, but yesterday, it would not keep the font itself (I chose times new roman as I prefer serif fonts). We'll see what happens today.
Glider Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Ok, it seems to do everything now, even accept a new font (the word 'three' in the above post is courier new), but not times new roman, in which both posts were written. Any ideas why?
blike Posted November 11, 2003 Author Posted November 11, 2003 hrm. it seems because times new roman is the default "text" font, it doesn't add any tags to it. hold on, i'll fix.
Dudde Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Glider said in post #14 : Aha...they were in fact, three consecutive tests. that's a BS way of saying "yes I did"
alt_f13 Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Oi! The wysiwyg only works with the Orbitz style set. Not only does it not appear in the user CP, it is disabled when I switch back to Photon! Oh yah, and the attachment icon that appears in the thread browse areas is messed up in Photon. Edit - And whoever designed Orbits must have a 1900x1600 resolution. >_< Edit again - What is going on with the less than and greater than signs? Look < >
alt_f13 Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 wierd... >_< edit... you did that in the quick response... this is the editor....>_<
Dudde Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 screw that hippy editor, I have fingers of light (i. e. I don't need an editor, because the time it would take my computer to load the thing is longer than it actually takes me to type anything I want out)
Glider Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Dudde said in post #17 : that's a BS way of saying "yes I did" Well, yes it is, but let's not shout about it, as I seem to have got away with it
