archipce Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 could anyone pls tell me which solvent to use for uv spectroscopy of powdered wastes from the paper indusrty? ive already tried 1,4 dioxan, phenol, distilled water with no success... can dichloromethane be used for uv spectro?
evergreen Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Have you already tried to dissolve the lignin in CH2Cl2? Personally, I don't see why you can't. I used CH2Cl2 often when doing IRspec work. UVspec is on a different wavelength.
