RyanJ Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Scientists have long known that the ozone layer was being damaged by CFC's, but little was done until recently. In 1987, 180 countries signed what is known as the Montreal Protocol - it was designed to control the emmisions of ozone depleting products such as CFC's.
