TimbaLanD Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 On my gmail account, I have set up to reply using another of my email accounts yet when someone receives it, the address shows as on behalf of “hotmail.com”.. I don’t want this to appear. What is the point of sending it from gmail if the whole of the gmail address is going to show. Does anyone know what i am talking about?
bluesmudge Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 didn't know you could do that . . . . why can't you just send it normally from the gmail account?
TimbaLanD Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 Well, gmail is a lot faster than all other accounts and it’s less cluttered and easy to organise. Gmail gives you an option to setup your other emails addresses into gmail, see link http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?ctx=%67mail&hl=en_GB&answer=20616 but when you pretend to send it from another email address, it also shows up the gmail address which really spoils the whole idea.
