herme3 Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Can the SFN administrators extend the time it takes before your login session expires? Sometimes I will make a lengthy post, and it will take me a while to type it. It will take even longer if I'm doing research on another web site while I'm typing. Sometimes when I go to submit a new post, the session will expire and I will need to login again. Is there any way somebody can fix this?
Sayonara Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 What is the expiration setting for cookies in your browser? The SFN login cookie will persist forever if you let it. Mine never ever logs out because my browser is set to allow web sites to determine cookie lifetime.
herme3 Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 I just have Internet Explorer on the medium cookie setting, which was the default. Which setting would you recommend?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 You can check the "Log me in automatically" box and it will never log you out.
Severian Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 'Expiration' is one of these words I really hate. What was wrong with 'expiry'?
