DigEagle Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Hey everyone, I found this really interesting article on Technology Review today about the project going on at Harvard to clone a human. It seems that the scientists are facing new obstacles, not just ethical ones, relating to their project. Apparently they are worried that they will not be able to harvest enough human eggs to continue their experiments. You can check out the entire article here: http://www.technologyreview.com/read_article.aspx?id=16990&ch=biotech
Dr. Dalek Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Apparently they are worried that they will not be able to harvest enough human eggs to continue their experiments. I read that one could clone using eggs of other animals, just using DNA of the desired animal (in this case a human).
Cyberman Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I read that one could clone using eggs of other animals, just using DNA of the desired animal (in this case a human). I have also heard of that, someone used cow eggs to clone a primate embryo, I'll double check my source.
