Guest wuming79 Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 hi, anyone knows if the dielectric constant for materials are fixed for all frequenies??
YT2095 Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 No, it isn`t. some materials are better at certain frequencies than others as a dielectric. the constant is normaly taken at DC values. some favour high and some lower frequencies, hence the difference/variety of different capacitors on the market
wolfson Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 N=nik P^2/nik P is contant but the angular frequency is variable.
