Goosebumps

It is sometimes funny!

I get goosebumps out of a sudden.

And i can make goosebumps as and when i want.

 

Is it natural?

What causes these goosebumps?

ususaly, it`s caused by the folicles that contain/grow body hairs, they become errect (no corny / stoopid jokes please!) to create an insulation layer to trap warm air (a bit like bubble wrap). the sayings "I went cold with fear" etc.. are not said without reason, hence it`s important to keep someone warm after and accident etc, when they go into "shock".

it`s part of our defence mechanism. the fact that you can do it at will is interestiing, but not uncommon or unknown, as with many other functions, a "manual overide" is often (but not always) possible

goose bumps are triggered by autonomic nervous system and they are controlled by sympathetic nevous system...but the neuro transmitter is not epinephrine but acetyl choline( which is neuro trasmitter of parasympathetic)>.

I don't think that answered the question "whizkid". When we are cold, the tiny muscles attached to our hairs contract and the hairs stand up. This forms an insulating 'blanket' of warm air close to our skin to keep us warm. The tiny contracted muscles also raise up and forms bumps on the skin. The bumps have been named "goosebumps", the same as YT posted above

LOL. So, temperature changes cause the hair to stand up or in other words have goosebumps. Fear too right? What else? Cause i could all of a sudden... have goosebumps.
