As a short story though, are you trying to make any political statements? As in, it might be better to be blissfully ignorant than enlightened but paranoid? slightly political, mostly psychological. What would you do if you had to make a decision that would alter the course of history? Both decisions have their moral applications.

That's actually part of the background in my story; two characters, realizing they have the power to change the world, take drastically different paths (trying to build a tolerant utopia vs. socialist revolution). Neither is good or evil, just with different moral stances and priorities. Mokele
