I get Scientific American, and I really enjoy it, but it is sort of lacking in a couple of aspects, and I was thinking of getting another one. People have mentioned "New Scientist" a lot, and "Science" or "Nature" might be a good pick. Any suggestions? Perferably with lots of general topics, versus a specialized magazine.

New Scientist is a very good magazine, and is weekly. Science or Nature would be fine if you wanted the "raw" results, although I doubt most people would find those as interesting as the summaries in typical magazines.

bbc does a really good one, "focus" it's more laid back than new scientist, the articles are well written and always explore all sides to a debate. it's all science oriented and it has so much variety. (normally 100+ pages)

definately worth the cost, pitty its monthly though.

Science and nature are journals, not magazines.

I get new scientist and physics world (a professional magazine done by IoP), and really enjoy them both.
