Apparently you get to create a creature and guide it through evolution to be the top animal on the planet. You start out as simple organism's in a tide pool and have to battle it out with other organisms to evolve. Then you try to make your creature as good as possible and you can customize it in any way you would like. As time progresses you can make it evolve into better things.
