I've been speaking to a few women at work, and I've also heard from friends that their female colleagues refuse to have a poo at work. Obviously there's probably plenty of women who are quite comforable with this, but from my own gathering of data, not one will have a poo at work. I just find this really irrational, we're all human, why are the women I've spoken to and heard about, feel uncomfortable doing their business at work. (no pun intended)

The only response I've had is...'no, it just doesn't feel right' and 'I don't know, I think a lot of women are the same.'

There are at least two types of female, women and ladies. Ladies don't sweat and their poo don't smell. (old folk wisdom). If a woman is not sure of her status, she won't poo in public for fear of being found out and being relegated to the lower division.

actualy if you`re going to try and be funny, then you`re Quite inaccurate! according to Propper English.

Horses Sweat, people Perspire!

Nearly right. Horses sweat, gentlemen perspire, and ladies merely glow. Ergo, ladies dont sweat.

But perhaps it was another ofthose OP's that seemed hilarious to only me, and I am guilty of flippancy again.

No smilies in Quick Reply. Did not think it necessary

Propper english with two p's? had you spelled it "pooper" english, that would have been funny in this context.

I'm not sure if it matters if they're sure or unsure...a women with relatively high status in the workplace has probably more to loose. The uncertainty of how bad it's going to smell is definetly something to be unsure about. So I guess it could be either prissiness, or possible embarrassment.

It is rather daft, it's almost insinuating that nobody else around you does smelly ones, which is obviously rubbish. You could also just wait until everyone has vacated, then nobody would know who was the perpetrator.

Surely it's not healthy to hold it in ?

EDIT: gcol, flippant responses...jokes are all welcome on my threads, but obviously they'd have to adhere to SFN policy et.c

The version I was taught was "Horses sweat, gentlemen perspire, and ladies glisten."

My mother insisted she merely glowed.

But I have observed some energetic ladies definitely glistening at moments of heightened sexual pleasure. Perhaps when pooing, too?

Boy, whether you take this literally or as a typo makes a big difference in the meaning of the sentence.

I wouldn't think that holding it in for up to 8+ hours is possible on a consistent basis, much less healthy.

Lol, that was a typo.

Womens loos

Are not for poos

They're only used for peein',

And doing their hair

And doing their nails,

And mostly just for gossippin'.

Maybe they do 'poo' at work but just won't admit it... they think it's dirty perhaps?

Perhaps, but a couple of women I've asked about said pooing, have, putting it frankly, mouths like toilets. As in they have no hang ups about filth of any description or context (unshockable if you like), except for having a poo at work. This is really what prompted me to ask the question.
