Dave Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 We've posted a fairly comprehensive update to the forum's policy. Thanks to Capn' for putting a substantial amount of work in to get it all up to speed. You can check it out in the stickied threads above.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Just for convenience, here's a link. Here's a few of the changes I've made (with much input from everybody in the staff) to the policy: A much-needed rejiggering of the basic rules in Section 2 has been done. Things should be clearer and more comprehensive now, and we now have coverage of several things that we had forgotten about the first time around. Removed several unneeded sections. Cleared out a bunch of fun legalese (although it's still rather complex). Updated the rules to reflect our new warning system. Consolidated many redundant rules and entire sections. Added "Important Links" to the end. Changed some formatting around to make it easier to read. Fixed some spelling errors Updated some links and some dates. That should about cover it. If you have any questions regarding what the new policy says, feel free to ask.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Okay, it looks like I'll have to clarify this. Nothing in these forum rules prevents you from using the word "religion" or making casual discussions of religion. However, if such discussions are off-topic (religion does not really belong in the Chemistry forum, for example) then they will be removed.
