Mokele Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I just happened across this website, and figured I should post it here for interest. As fair warning, if you are squeamish or have trouble with human cadavers or dissecting them, don't watch. http://www.anatomy.wisc.edu/courses/gross/ Personally, I found it fascinating, and it gives a much better look than in textbooks, since you can see how everything is interconnected. intothevoidx Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Well I hope he washed his hands before he went and ate:cool:. Is it normal not to use gloves?
intothevoidx Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 No. Gloves are mandatory. That's what I figured......I take it those bodies have been preserved so sticking your hands in formaldehyde or whatever they used probably isn't intelligent. It's a carcinogen isn't it?
Glider Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Formaldehyde is a good steriliser, but you're right, I wouldn't be washing my hands in it too frequently. The bodies have probably been fixed in formaline, same as the bodies used by mecial students, but even so, gloves are mandatory.

Glider Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I believe you're right. Exposure once or twice is no problem, but repeated exposure is not good.
