RyanJ Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Hi everyone! I've been trying to solve this for a while and with no success ( suck at logic puzzles ) so I thought I'd post it here for you guys to try. The following digits are in an order. What you need to work out is what order are they in. 0 2 3 6 7 1 9 4 5 8 If you work it out please post a hint for the rest of us mere-mortals -- Ryan Jones
DaveC426913 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hm. Well, some notable things: - the sequence is simply the first ten numbers; they are just mixed up. - there are three pairs that are not mixed up: 23, 45, 67. I would suggest looking at things such as phone pads, number pads etc. I would also not discount the idea that these numbers form a circle, i.e. they wrap around.
RyanJ Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 I worked this out last night (one of those "I woke up with the answer deals). If anyone wants the answer just PM me so others can keep trying

Severian Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I'll give a hint. It doesn't work unless you are speaking English (and even then it may not work if you don't call 0 'zero').
Sisyphus Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Lame! (Is there a policy against one-word posts of derision?)
calbiterol Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Yeah, and here I was waiting for something more... [hide](mathematical)[/hide] challenging.
mateenashraf Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 there is nothing so teasing about these numbers because they r just in reverse alphabetical order like it starts from '0' zero
the tree Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Yes yes, we know that, you may have noted that it's already been discussed but that everyone else had taken the care to use spoiler tags, or simply keep it to themselves.
