bascule
So, Daniel Dennett and some other EDGE people attending an Evolution conference were sitting around, and Paris Hilton showed up... http://edge.org/ (Yes, that sounds like the set up for a bad joke, but it actually happened) Too bad big thinkers can't be superstars... Phi for All
Italy is lucky there wasn't some sort of cataclysmic rift caused by the intellectual inversion between the two groups. It really would be interesting to have the paparazzi following around the brains instead of the beauties. More edifying diatribes on respect for personal space, less drunken empty-brained starlets giving the camera the finger.
GutZ
and Paris Hilton showed up... For the love of God why would she do that? She can't understand the concept of a pen let alone....everything else...
Phi for All
For the love of God why would she do that? She can't understand the concept of a pen let alone....everything else...Paris Hilton showed up... at the same hotel where the EDGE conference was being held. I'm sure if she knew smart people would be there she would have chosen someplace else. After all, the Italians have a saying: Veni, vidi, viduh (I came, I saw, I looked real dumb). gcol
She is dumb enough to be, apparently, an expert in the activity that presumably brought the big brains into existence. Or were they conceived asexually? That would be really brainy.
Genecks
I don't see any evidence for the claims present by various persons. Although, I do admire the elipses presented by Bascule. Rhetors seem to understand the power of language.
