pljames Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I am very excited about this website because of the webpage. The page almost jumps out at me, I have bad eyes and I can see it clearly! Well down. My question is when my name comes up the word Baryon is under my name. What is Baryon mean? pljames
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 A baryon, according to the dictionary, is "a proton, neutron, or any elementary particle that decays into a set of particles that includes a proton." You'll have that title get better and better as you post more here on the forums. Thanks for the compliments!
Klaynos Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 They're subatomic particles, made up of 3 quarks, examples include neutrons and protons. In the context of the forums it is a rank bassed on the number of posts you've made.
