the tree Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 http://www.badscience.net/?p=314 (scroll down a bit for the actual essay) I found this one hell of a read. Thoughts, anyone?
Genecks Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I see many typographical errors. I believe the writer could have used semicolons in a more 1800's fashion, but the writer made the error of having run-on sentences. Also, there is the glitch with no period after the abbreviation for doctor. I'd say the writer needs to tune the skills really quick. Perhaps others need more lessons in English. (t-t-t-s-r-q-p-o-n-m-l) Rhetoric is fun!
ecoli Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I was considering a career in science journalism for a while. I decided that it would be depressing reporting what other people are doing, without ever getting a chance to do the research yourself, which I find much more rewarding.
