Mokele Posted October 29, 2006 Share Posted October 29, 2006 when a UV photon hits DNA it breaks a bond or two which alters the structure and information in the DNA sometimes this leads to cancer sometimes it just leads to cell death. Actually, UV makes bonds, specifically between adjacent thymines. This causes the DNA to "kink", and results it errors during replication. Woah, just read up on this guy and it's completely shaken my ideas about freedom of speech. Should he really be allowed to publish this kind of dangerous lies?
