D H Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 PhysicsForum (kooks are banned) and sciforums.com (kooks-a-plenty). BTW, what is it with the kooks coming out of the woodwork lately? SFN is being inundated with "my theory of the X" posts. It's enough to make those of the conspiracy-nut mindset think the Democrats added something to the water to enable a win last Tuesday.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 We got back on to Google. They can find us now.
blackhole123 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 hey the religion forums are up! well ill be on those now.
Guest_Jim* Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Aside from this one, I frequent http://forum.worldwindcentral.com/. This forum is for a NASA program named World Wind. Think Google Earth but with a scientific purpose, far more imagery, far more add-ons (well over 200, and all but three are free), and more than just Earth. Currently it has the Earth, the Moon, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and imagery from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey included in the installer. Also the World Wind forums actually has more members than this one.
kiwimac Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I have about 80 or so fora I belong to, but I really only visit 10 or so. I hope this one will become one of the the favourites. Kiwimac
kiwimac Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 BTW, can anyone explain why my post count is 0? Kiwimac
CPL.Luke Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 ^you haven't posted in a forum other than General Discussion these posts don't count. I just got into physicsforums.com out of curiosity Ecoli and D H do you use the same name?
MolotovCocktail Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 My forums: http://www.scienceforums.net obviously http://www.chronicles-network.com for science fiction and fantasy the physics forums, though I'm not there as often as here. and http://www.psychforums.com for talking to other people with PDD's, Bi-Polar and Autism. Gaming Sites: Gamespot.com for talking about games (Not really a forum but you can rate games). http://www.galciv2.com for one of my favorite computer games http://www.mapleglobal.com for the free RPG. http://www.chessclub.com and games.yahoo.com for playing chess
CDarwin Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I go to Subspace Comms Network (its a Star Trek board) and occasionally my friend's site Fish and Chips. Of course there's Myspace.
Tom Mattson Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I'm a moderator at Physics Forums. I also post at sciforums. Only I don't visit there in that "ooh let's see what new and interesting things those chaps are discussing" sort of way, but rather in that "let's satisfy my morbid curiosity" sort of way.
the tree Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Here and webdeveloper.com mostly. Some other random comic forums, religious forums, forums that I joined just to ask one question, that type o' stuff.
YT2095 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 http://www.discusscooking.com/http://www.sciencemadness.org/ I used to use the eBay Comunity forum in the Gardening/Vegetable section too. I forgot: http://www.gardenbanter.co.uk/ I`ve been there since 2004 also.
KLB Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I mostly participate in webmaster/website publishing related forums, with SFN being one of the few science forums I have found that I actually like. The main website publishing related forums I participate in include: http://www.websitepublisher.net/forums/ (Small but VERY GOOD) http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/ (Big but pretty good) http://www.webmasterworld.com/ (To big and overinflated self opinion)
JohnB Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Mostly here and Ozdancesport. But also a member of archaeologica and The Hall of Ma'at.
Glider Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I'm also on Bonsai chat and Bonsai Talk (I like bonsai).
spooky Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 http://www.gothic.org.au/brisbane/index.php - Brisbane Goth Forum, there for the people not the stereotype.
JohnB Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I'm also on Bonsai chat and Bonsai Talk (I like bonsai). Now the "shrink" jokes will start. 1
