carol Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I used my USB Flash Drive and transferred some files from my computer. Then later, when I have to remove the device, I noticed that the My Documents folder was already in my memory stick. I can't delete or transfer it to the computer. What might be wrong? I swear I did not send the folder to the Flash Drive.
insane_alien Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 try formatting the flashdrive(take important stuff of first) and are you using the same OS on each computer?
Sequence Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Somtimes things screw up. It doesn't automatically trasnfer all documents just to have a backup copy does it? I know that all some people use it for.
carol Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 I realized the computer has a virus. I'll ask some expert to clean it for me. thanks a lot.
insane_alien Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 why not just run an AV program. they should be able to clean it off.
weknowthewor Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Yes there are many antivirus sofwares available on the net to download for free.. For e.g http://www.download.com you will get the best AV to download... try it out..
Norman Albers Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I toasted the supposedly foolproof flash USB "cigarette lighter", and did have virus stuff eating me up. I run AVAST; what do folks think of Dr.Web, and SPYBOT?
