Sayonara Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 I suppose the average person would rather have a good mystery than the burden of objective analysis.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 But of course! Information is worthless in their minds! They'd rather impress friends with strange questions (at least where I live). Do you think those documentaries do that because they're stupid and can't figure it out, or they want the ratings? I prefer the ratings theory.
Sayonara Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 It's a reluctance to commit to anything that will make them a target for flak from whatever groups have a vested interest in the opposing ideas, combined with the cost of researching and consulting experts.

PEEWEE Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 I think that humans are from another planet. Well at least I am.
alt_f13 Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 I am going to try and make this post as useless and asinine as the last two.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Yes, it was useless. Some of us may seem to be from another planet, but unfortunately, they're probably not.
Sayonara Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 I was specifically refering to the latter half of his post. It was after 4am, what do you want from me?
Rasori Posted January 12, 2004 Author Posted January 12, 2004 Well people say if you can do that live long and prosper thing with your hand then you're an alien, but my sister's the only one who can so I think it's the other way around...
YT2095 Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 depending on what you define as an "Alien" one may consider cats and dogs to be such, or these weird bio-luminescent creatures that live kilometers under the Oceans (some sure don`t look like earth dwellers! LOL) if the word "Alein" is solely defined as Extra-Terestrial then I think personaly we`re in for alot of dissapointment for a VERY long time! and that includes this Spock type dude
-Demosthenes- Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 An Alien: Belonging to, characteristic of, or constituting another and very different place, society, or person; strange. From the Dictionary!
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 That's why illegal immigrants are called "illegal aliens". Maybe they should paint themselves green to scare Immigration.
YT2095 Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 like I said post #65 they`re by all definitions Aliens
-Demosthenes- Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 I'm an alien to all the British people! If they could hear me talk, I'd sound like a hic to 'em! Maybe you don't know what a hic is, how alien!
JaKiri Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Cap'n Refsmmat said in post # :What is a hic, then? Hudson, sir, he's a hic.
YT2095 Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 a "Country Bumkin" : yehaaaw, papa fetch ma Guuun I`ve a fair recconin` to a lil` critter the back of thu woodshed! looks like we`s in for a mighty fine bowl of grub Ma. LOL a Hic
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 I see too many of those in these parts.
-Demosthenes- Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 ahahahhaahhahahahhahahahhahahah! Well, if you don't know what a hic is why would I think to know that you would know what a red neck is! A guy at my school last year was from England, so we made fun of his accent. He told us that to someone from England we sound like Hics.
