Pangloss Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Wow, what an honor! http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2732069
-Demosthenes- Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 It's so cheap and easy to communicate with people around the world that anyone can do it. This efficient medium is the internet. Through it groups of people can form ideas, and learn from each other, and we're all the better for it.

blackhole123 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 I sorry Pangloss but you are mistaken. I was chosen for person of the year.
Pangloss Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 I was robbed! BTW, Time actually put a *mirror* on the cover of their print edition. Kinda cheesy really, but I thought their choice was an apt one.
-Demosthenes- Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Unfortunately, the signal-to-noise ratio is pretty pathetic. What can you do. But there's still intelligent groups of people doing some really good things.
GutZ Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 That's the worst thing I've ever seen...I'm Shocked.
the tree Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 the internet. The internet? What the hell is the internet? Maybe you mean the Internet? Wow, what an honour.I agree, people who can't spell should be shot.
ecoli Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 The internet? What the hell is the internet? Maybe you mean the Internet? Why is the correct spelling of that capitalized, anyway?
calbiterol Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Wow, what an honour. I realize that this is quite possibly a joke, and I don't want to sound snappy or immature. However... While you are familiar with the Commonwealth spelling of honour, as well as others (centre, industrialisation, and so on and so forth), Pangloss is a resident of the US - Florida, to be somewhat exact (at least according to his profile, which I have no reason to ignore). The US English spelling of honor is in fact honor. Remember - this is a global forum. Think of things from a global perspective. But yes, people who can't spell are extremely annoying.
Sisyphus Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Yeah, we had a war a long time ago so we wouldn't have to put up with all those extra u's and e's you guys like to put everywhere.
-Demosthenes- Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 ain't america great Because we spell things right?
