Hello

Bored again today, haven't seen enough wacked out conspiracy theories lately, and the Weekly World News is in a slump (a far more informative and authoritative periodical then one would care to believe).

So what nice crazy idea can you come up with to explain some current event or social-political or economical movement?

Or what is the best you've heard lately?

OK I'll start us off

Why is Bush ignoring the will of the American people and continuing to build up the war in Iraq. Because it has be devulged to him by Pat Robertson that he has been annointed to bring about Amageddon. And that Iran really has no Nukes but members of the Skull and Bones society are secretly funding a media campaign to convince the World that it does, therefore allowing Bush to continue to press forward his War in hopes of drawing in Iraq and Syria thus causing the deployment of nuclear weapons and a end of days.

Hey, its as good a reason as any other.

So join in and get as crazy as you wanta be, they whose idea is the most matches short of a pack is the winner.

I think Courtney Love paid someone to murder Kurt Cobain, and has been pulling strings with her friends to cover up the fact for over a decade

Ah, I have a sheet of conspiracy theories here...

Here's the first on the list:

The war in Iraq is a plot to destabilize the region so it can be easily controlled by the New World Order.

JK Rowling is a very powerful witch, who, for whatever reason, was shunned from the Wizarding world (which really exists). To get back at them, she wrote about the true story of Harry potter and published them so the muggles would find out about them.

Now, JK is too rich and powerful and her notoriety amoung muggles is so great, that the wizarding world can't harm her, or everyone will be suspicious.

The wizards take great pains to insure that no muggle unconnected to the wizarding world ever finds out about it., and to make sure that we all think JK Rowling's world is just fiction.

While coming up with, and repeating unsubstantiated conspiracies can be quite entertaining in the world of politics, it's also disruptive to any truth or logical analysis that tends to reflect a conspiracy. Obviously the majority of conspiracies are laughable and downright stupid. But one must look at the world in the big picture, and relate it to what we've learned from humanities mistakes. When we look at the history of older nations, such as the Roman Empire, we realize how corrupt militaries and emperors were. But people at the time were content with their surroundings, and their leaders, and the ones who rebeled against the empire were mocked and murdered.

Look at the masses today. Most people get up Monday through Friday, go to work, come home, deal with their family, bills, and other distractions, and look forward to the weekend when they can piss away their time infront of the television. Sometimes they're even able to catch the nightly news. Does this truly constitute a well-informed American? I think not. Additionally, they'll be the first to tell you what a great American they are, as they loyally watch Brian Williams every night, or they're able to catch Sean Hanity on the way home from work. They can tell you all the latest sports scores and highlights. But ask any one of these people what their 3rd amendment is and they wont have a clue. Does this type of person really have the authority to claim what's really going on in the world of politics?...What about the person who actually takes time to do their homework, and sort the logical from the illogical without bias? Who makes it his duty to pour through documents and newspapers, interviews and video clips? And who comes to the conclusion that there is something seriously wrong with where politicians have led their people? Who is more qualified to assess the state of the nation? Yet who is more readily mocked?

It's easy to tell someone they're a conspiracy nut, and never take the time to look into what they're actually trying to point out to you. It's easy to avoid the task of going out and doing your own research and simply take the word of your nightly news anchor, your talk show radio host, or your college professor. When has truth ever been easy to conquer?

Here’s mine:

Some one thought it would be very funny to make a monkey The President Of The United States Of America. So he went to Africa, put one in a suit and tried in vain to make him look like a human. Since he came from the bush and he was a monkey they named him after Curious George: George Bush. The GOP was in aw of his superior intellect and grammar and nominated him. Luckily for the conspirators up against a pompous freak named Gore and became the President. Then he was up against another pompous idiot named Kerry and he won agene. The monkey was unable to set aside his primitive aggression and went to war with Iraq. Unfortunately for the man who thought this was hilarious he was In the army and got killed thus no one knows the truth that bush is a monkey(except for his wife who is happy to be back with one of her own kind)

I offer this site as evadence!

That Paris Hilton is a super genius and that she is hiding this so that the Government Doctors won't dissect her to see why she is such a super genius. :D:P:D

You did say wacky...

Elton John plotted the death of Princess Di so he could cash in on record sales...a number one no less, originally a homage to Marilyn Munroe. Apparently this was easier for Elton, than coming up with some original material.

The 9/11 conspiracy is a govenment conspiracy. Its purpose is to make us think that the government is more powerful than it really is.

I'm just a bit curious why you think this is wacky. If you can show me why, you have my attention.

The entire election (actually, appointment) of Pres. Bush was an effective coup d'état by the oil industry. At one time I heard it described as a bloodless coup. It can no longer be identified as that.

Hello

Hmmm... try thinking about it this way for your more scientific angle, pychological and social analysis of mental reasoning.

Why does a culture, group or person find they are able to to concieve of, or believe in these conspiracy theories? How does that reflect on the mental processing behind such reasoning, and from whence did that line of reasoning develope; is it cultural, education, political, or socially derieved.

Listening to the conspiracy theories, folklore, and urban legends can open many avenues for insight into the thought process of people and cultures (plus aliens - they are amoung us you know).

Well if this was a scientific thread, then the above would have been stated in the first post. By your own admission the thread was created out of boredom, and for no other purpose other than entertainment. The thread only serves to degrade anything resembling a conspiracy theory, whether the it contains truth or not. Commonplace mindsets, such as the ones portayed in this thread, only train others to mock ideas that are not readily accepted. Therefore this thread not only lacks a scientific base, but aids in counterproductive thought processes.

Why is president Bush disregarding the will of the american public and continuing to escalate the war in Iraq?

Well, the answer is simple. President Bush is insecure about his sexuality. Years ago, when Bush was a little kid, running around his huge ass estate, his father came to take him to see something secret.

It was area 51. Now, all the "old money" people of America and some from other countries know the truth about area 51 and have taken a vacation to it at sometime in their childhoods. Around their 10th b-day they are taken to see area 51 and the treasure it beholds. Inside area 51 is a spaceship, or rather a timeship. Its hard to explain, nobody to this day can explain the science behind it. Once inside the spaceship, one of the parents pushes a few buttons and instantaneously the spaceship appears on a different planet, maybe at a different time too.

Well, on this planet live a species of sand squirrels, these sand squirrels are an intelligent species and their society is very similar to the american society.

One day little president bush was raped by a sand squirrel (the squirrel was executed shortly after by his own kind for such disrespect).

To this day President Bush carries around the baggage with him of secretly enjoying being a homosexual child rape victim. To compensate and make up for his sexual insecurities he continues to attack the land which reminds him most of the sand squirrels. This just so happens to be the middle east and Iraq.

Hello

Well though I stated boredom as the reason to pose the question, the implication that this thread is only for entertainment purposes is of your own creation. If you read the originally posted statement it was more of what has been said, and what can you invent; including a possiblity of replies used to judge inventiveness as to contest.

I saw no reason to include reference to scientific use as that was as you say not the entended purpose. And my conclusion (perhaps in error) that participants at this site would not be hampered by linear reasoning that occluded a multitude of ways to interpret responces.

But I do thank you for participating, and the information gleemed.

Mr. D

Oh...btw my choice of the beginning verbage of 'am drunk again' comes from an old case decades past. Stemmed from a carved stone found in the Northeastern United States that found two historians arguing as to origin. One held firm it was from very early Native Americans. The other that it most resembled Nordic runes.

In the end an assistant had placed the stone on a table and went to retrieve something. Coming back toward the table he noticed scrawled at a odd angle on the stone 'am drunk again this day' and a date in the very late 1600's.

Seems you need to look at something from every angle.
