danmoore80 Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 I would like to know how Evolution can be taught in public schools as a FACT. There is far more "scientific" evidence that Creation, and not Evolution, actually took place. Evolution is not Science...it is an Idea that was later renounced by its' creator. Evolution is a "False Religion" that has no place in our school system. And just for arguments sake, if we are going to teach about Evolution, then why isn't there a equal amount of time spent on Creation? Take Care, and God Bless
Skye Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 The reason it is taught in schools is because it is a generally held principle of science, and is the basis of biology.
Glider Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 It isn't taught as 'fact', it's taught as 'prevailing theory'. As far as evidence goes, there is none for creation. People saying "see that flower?....God made that" is not evidence.
fafalone Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 Evolution is taught (in my highschool and college at least) as a fact; however the driving force being natural selection is taught as a prevailing theory. Still tho, there is absolutely no way any well educated individual could think all species were created by god exactly as they appear today.
