leon Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Hey guys, been away from this for awhile so I need help. Trying to make a 10% HCl solution out of a 1N solution? Thanks!
John Cuthber Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 All you need to do is work out how much more HCl you need to add (easier said than done because the volume will change).
leon Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 Well I think I found the answer to my own question. I found that a 1N solution of HCl is 3.65% therefore I need a stronger acid solution which we have a 6N which figures to be about 21.89%. I therefore need to make a solution that is about 46% of this to make my 10% solution.
