Pangloss Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 I've been messing around with a copy of Vista I got from the school, and I was just wondering if anybody here has had a chance to load up Firefox 2.0 in Vista yet. Did it work ok or are we waiting for a service release? Thanks!
Rakdos Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 It occasionally stops responding for a short period of time but other than that it works fine for me.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 FF3 will have far improved Vista compatibility.
weknowthewor Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Please read this .It tells us the truth.
the tree Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Please read this .It tells us the truth. No it doesn't, it is a lot of speculation and people saying "try this". FF3 will have far improved Vista compatibility.I assume it will, but isn't that a little way off (read: long time)?
Pangloss Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 I expect any Vista-related issues will be resolved fairly quickly. Although I'm recommending most casual computers users (who ask) that they wait and stick with XP for a while, I think we'll probably see a lot of new computers ship with Vista very soon, and those people need to be able to run Firefox as well. (Need! heh)
YT2095 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 an interesting read: http://tomshardware.co.uk/2007/02/02/windows_vista_reader_feedback/
