sweetlilygrl Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 At room temp K equilibrium for this reaction is 2.65 X 10-3. what is the concentration of BrCl(g) at equilibrium if the reaction vessel is initally charged with a mixture containing 0.5 moles/L Br2 and 0.5 moles/L Cl2?
Darkblade48 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Hint: You can use an ICE (initial, change, equilibrium) table in order to solve this question. You have your initial concentrations, you know the change will be some "x", and thus, you have your change, and can equate the values to your K(eq) and solve for the unknown "x".
