Cap'n Refsmmat Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 [math]i^{2n+3}[/math] or [math]i^{2n} + 3[/math]?
Asian Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 it would actually simplify to i^2n * i^3. but i mean as in simplify i, -1,-i , or 1
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 If it simplifies to [math]i^{2n} \times i^3[/math] then it reduces further to [math]i^{2n} \times -i[/math] [math]1^{2n}[/math] 1.
Dave Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Not quite. [math]i^{2n+3} = (i^2)^{n}i^3 = (-1)^n (-i) = (-1)^{n+1}i[/math].
