weknowthewor Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 can we use solar energy instead of electromagnetic waves for very long communication
richard Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Do you mean using a parabolic mirror with a shutter or something?. That first post is rather lacking in detail.
Externet Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Yes. Just use a mirror and bounce solar light signaling to the moon... and beyond. If you glue the mirror onto a speaker cone, will transmit the audio modulating the sunlight. Miguel
YT2095 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 well, Until it goes Cloudy, or it`s Night time, or the receiver is a few metres away, or.... well lets just say I`m not ready to deep 6 my mobile fone just yet
Klaynos Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 The light would not be very well collimated so after quite a short distance the signal would be greatly reduced. Far easier to use a laser if you want it to be visible.
YT2095 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 this may sound kinda Obvious, but doesn`t all our Comunication energy Already come from the Sun? (albeit indirectly)
