ErlyRisa Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 g=( L((aX)+(bY)) / (X+Y+1) could anyone solve for X, Y, while G>0 ? I use this formula everyday and would love to be able to use it like... aX,bY = ????? I once plotted it , and all of it's transpositions, I just caan't finsh it off!! ... I can't find a correlative formula for aX <> bY
Dave Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 If you have a single equation and two unknowns, it's going to be impossible to get two equations defining x and y out of it. You can get x in terms of y, or y in terms of x; that's about it.
ErlyRisa Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 Thanks mate -- guts -ie of you to state the obvious! you should plot it....it's an interesting equation. finding the correlative function has been a bit difficult.... as it always is without any data. I am getting close though.
