blike Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 I (somewhat) successfully completed the first two launches of my video rocket project! The only problem is that the parachutes failed to properly deploy during both launches. I'm currently working on a webpage for it, but for now you can view the pictures and see the video. The Camera: Stripped Down Camera: Rocket Layout: Rocket Without Nose Cone Videos (right-click, save target as): Launch 1 Launch 2 Vidcaps From Launch: Rough ejection charge One frame later... there goes the parachute.. There's my car!

YT2095 Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 "up and atom" was a play on words coined in the mid 1940`s amongst airforce pilots, it`s not a typo, he`s quite correct

When Wolfcastle plays atom man, who's catchphrase is 'up and atom', he keeps on saying it as 'Up and at them'.
YT2095 Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 and I`m supposed to know that HOW? or anyone else for that matter?

YT2095 Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 and if one happens to think the program is inane or trivial or just generaly doesn`t like it or the waste of time. what then?
YT2095 Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 the day SCIENCE relies upon childrens cartoons is the day I resign!
Radical Edward Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 the simpsons is fundamental in our education that nucular power is perfectly safe.

Cap'n Refsmmat Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 It looks as if you burnt your parachute on the second one. Whoops!
Rasori Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 Woo-hoo! Those landings look like an exact representation of what would happen if I was the pilot! Oh, and, "Doh, Bart!" (And more importantly, "MmmmMM... Forbidden Donut!")
