according to the UN, i'm not the same race as my parents. and here was me thinking the race was an hereditary property of humans with all sorts of biological ties.

Great article. I like the following definition it gave for "geek" it really sums up the term well:

The term "geek" originally referred to the carnival performers whose act consisted of biting the heads off chickens and eating glass. Over time it came to be applied to anyone who got paid to do work considered odd or bizarre by mainstream society.

Well, yes, I did realize it is fake, but it still has a good definition of geek that a normal person could understand and it was really funny.
