Wai Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Does anyone know of a site that lists the "standard" colour codes used to represent atoms of certain elements in structural models? For example, some common ones I know are: Hydrogen: White Nitrogen: Blue Oxygen: Red Carbon: Black I know colour codes vary, but is there a commonly used colour to represent silicon?
insane_alien Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 i've seen silver, green and yellow used for silicon. maybe that was just the crappy kits we used in highschool though.
Darkblade48 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I believe chlorine atoms were green and sulfur were yellow.
insane_alien Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 yeah but the chlorine and sulphur atoms don't have 4 holes for the bonds.
