Is it possible to orient a current carrying loop of wire in a unifrom magnetic field so that the loop will not tend to rotate?

I say no because the field of the loop always points in the same direction....but it doesnt sound right?! Give me some feedback please!

Yeah I've done several modules in electrodynamics.

I will admit not being about to see the animation (:P)

But from your description, it being a uniform B field and a current loop and the description of the animation I assumed it would be of use.

I think IIRC

The torque = I*A * B * Sin(Theata)

So if Sin(Theta) = 0 there is no torque of the current loop

Where Theta is the angle between the current and the field.
