brianmay27 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I think this is a good place to post this but i may be wrong. I have a small solar panel and a car battery charging off of it (sorry deep cycle) Bu the last time i used it to charge my phone by going from the battery (DC) to a transformer (AC) then to the charger which canges it to dc again. This was horable! it draned the battery compleatly off a small phone battery. Is there a conseritive way to do this most likely from DC to DC. The battery is 85 amp hr at 12 voltes and my phone is 5V DC at 1 amp. how can i do this? also will it matter if the battery changes voltes. it is at 14V mostly but can go to 10 before it is dead.
Externet Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Hi. That is why chargers that plug in to the cigar lighter exist. Use one hooked to the battery observing proper polarity and you are done. Miguel
