trivialjoe Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I was just wondering if anybody could direct me to the best scientific websites? Like what are the best websites for microbiology, biology, physics, mathematics, and so no? Specifically I was wanting to view websites that actually teach a person about a subject.
Klaynos Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Physics: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/hframe.html A very useful site that most undergrads I know, use at least occasionally.
grifter Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I don't know the level of understanding you already have, but for some basic (U.K. GCSE level) Physics information including a few useful constants and equations..http://www.physics.org/ And ofcourse HyperPhysics posted above for chemistry, a great place to learn allot very quickly, bullet-point style, head to http://www.4college.co.uk/ (I actually find this site useful) And as for Biology.....ask a biologist
Royston Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 For mathematics, mathworld is hard to beat... http://mathworld.wolfram.com/
