Switchy
Through a time paradox future scientists will devise a way of bringing themselves into existence. This explains the origin of the universe and everything in it! Is the above a possibility? Please discuss. Switchy:rolleyes:
jackson33
guess, your thinking that our future is happening as we live and that some scientist will figure our time travel of sorts, come back and explain the facts. paradox or the distortion of events created from addition of knowledge then being reason. this might make good SF, think its been done, but in reality not a possibility under any theory imaginable. insane_alien
if you read Isaac Asimov's 'The Last Question' it has a similar theme.
Switchy
The paradox as I see it is 'something bringing itself into existence that doesn't yet exist'. Can a time paradox overcome this problem?
Sisyphus
Or if you look at it another way, it makes their existence less explained. The classic example is taking the works of Shakespeare back in time to young Will before he wrote any of them. He then publishes them over the years without ever having to lift a pen. But then, if he didn't write them, then who the hell did?
