Killa Klown Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 I've been wanting to read the book "A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME", but I've never known how good and knowledgeble this book is.
insane_alien Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 its a good read but it is not to be confused with a technical article. if you ant hard science, go find a scientific journal. 'A Brief History of Time' is more geared towards the general public.
ajb Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 It is a good book, but it is now outdated. We know so much more about observational cosmology now than we did when the book was written. Some things that are speculated are now proven or disproved. So read it, but be careful about exactly what it says.
w=f[z] Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I agree with ajb, it's a bit dated. I read it about 12 years ago. I liked it then, so I can't say not to read it. But there may be more recent books to your liking.... Cheers
