akashgenius Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 This isnt exactly hw so u can answer it freely, just out of curiosity, more like. well, i've read about parallax and what it is and how we can calculate ditances of far-off bodies with it, i just wished sum1 cud tell me the equations with which u can calculate the distance of the body with it. thx.
YT2095 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I could be wrong, but isn`t it similar if not the same as those used in Triangulation?
Daecon Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I would concur, simple trigonometry should be sufficient to provide you with the tools to get the answers you seek. Although I advise against writing your answer using txtspk like in your posting, as you may get a lower grade even with a correct answer.
akashgenius Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 i dont know but i just cant help typing using txtspk anyway i get it now. you could simply use the apparent displacement and theta to calculate the distance! thanx guys.
