ed84c Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Why doesnt eating a lot of food dilute stomache acid rather than inducing acid heartburn?
YT2095 Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 well eating alot of food simply fills the cavity (our stomach) leaving little room for the HCl. after mastacation (chewing) the food then enters the stomach, part of it`s job is to move around ensuring a good mix of acid and peptic enzyme throught the product. if your stomach is too full, the movement can result in limited reverse peristalsis
Sayonara Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 In this context, the wave of muscular contraction that moves food through parts of the digestive tract.
