hstewart
I am looking for the picture that shows the evolution of man. on the left is cro-magnum crouched in monkey position then gradually standing straight to the homo sapien. In the middle are the other species of man in their evolutionary form. can anyone direct me to a link that shows this diagram. it is not a chart it is a true drawing of cro-magnum to neanderthal and so on. hope you can help, thanks. swansont
take your pick, depending on level of sincerity/sarcasm/humor needed (seriously — this is a minute or two of Googling) http://www.kheper.net/evolution/ascentofman.jpg http://www.cartoonstock.com/lowres/wpr0075l.jpg http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_apr2006/EvolutionOfMan.jpg http://www.naute.com/images/evolutionofman.jpg http://goldendome.org/EvolutionOfMan/EvolutionOfMan.jpg http://www.maccafan.net/Gallery/Ghosts/Evol%20to%20Beatles.jpg

SkepticLance
To CDarwin Was that a slip of the keyboard? Cro magnon man was Homo sapiens. Comes after neanderthalensis.
CDarwin
To CDarwin Was that a slip of the keyboard? Cro magnon man was Homo sapiens. Comes after neanderthalensis. Not quite "after." They lived at the same time to an extent. But yes, you're right, "Cro Magnon" is just another name for early Homo sapiens. They evolved later and survived further in time (to the present day) than Neanderthals.
