bascule Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 This time substituting the rampant speculation of the 9/11 Truth Movement with things like calculations, figures, data, and evidence. Surely these things have nothing over the immense believability of conjecture! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6987965.stm Yeah, looks like WTC1 & 2 were pretty weird buildings. There's nothing else like them in the world. Massive skyscrapers with load bearing walls, a design that hasn't been used by anyone since. Thanks to this, there was very little resistance to collapse: without an "egg crate" structure, the floors easily give way to immense force from above.
Reaper Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 The tone of this article suggests that they actually believed the 9/11 conspiracy theorists at one point or another. Regardless, this is one more nail in the coffin; the idea that it is a controlled demolition, that is.
JohnB Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 without an "egg crate" structure, the floors easily give way to immense force from above. You mean like 10,000 tons of concrete falling on them?
ParanoiA Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 You guys are totaly missing it. The conspiracy is in the design. They wanted these towers to come down from the day they built them. Their purpose was to provide a target that would be purposely weakened in just the right way so that they could take them down with planes. Prove that one wrong....
CDarwin Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 There was a Nova on PBS about that last night.

Prove that one wrong.... exactly, because, even though this is a democracy and power changes hands every couples of years, and the entire government tends to change completely every decade or so... they built the twin towers in the 70's knowing exactly when and how the terrorists would strike and the current political situation would be like.
bascule Posted September 12, 2007 Author Posted September 12, 2007 The tone of this article suggests that they actually believed the 9/11 conspiracy theorists at one point or another. Yeah, they're being awfully nice to what's little more than rumormongering. It'd be nice if the mainstream press actually went after the lies and showed that they're scientifically untenable (unless you're a particular ex-BYU professor), but perhaps they're afraid of being labeled part of the conspiracy by the 9/11 Lies movement.

You're catching on to this...
Pangloss Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 No, that's because he's the self-destroy-a. (and it goes like this)
ParanoiA Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 No, that's because he's the self-destroy-a. (and it goes like this) Ha! I have no idea what that means but I'll bet it's funny...
Sisyphus Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 even though this is a democracy and power changes hands every couples of years Anyone with even a passing familiarity with the X-Files would know how false that statement is.
Pangloss Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Ha! I have no idea what that means but I'll bet it's funny... Not a Kinks fan, eh?
ParanoiA Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Not a Kinks fan, eh? Nah. But the words did make me thing of a song...just didn't know which one it was.
YT2095 Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 kinda makes ya wonder if some of this conspiracy garbage isn`t Somehow started or sustained by the osama big lamer! something Extra to help the wheels of unrest within the ranks, turn the public against their own country etc...

Oh you mean the guy that Haliburton paid to take credit for 9/11? Funny how we "can't get him"...
Severian Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Oh you mean the guy that Haliburton paid to take credit for 9/11? Funny how we "can't get him"... If you look closely at the pictures we have of him, it is pretty easy to see that he is really Dick Cheney with a fake beard and a towel wrapped around his head.
john5746 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Now, now this is the FAITH of certain people, so we must give it the utmost respect. I mean, even science is based on faith, so who are we to judge?
