Royston Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 It doesn't need to be extensive...just Universities you've attended, and achievements e.g BSc, MSc et.c what you're working on at present, and anything outside your study/research you feel is relevant.
insane_alien Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 i meant to send the revision of my article today but i kind of got caught up in things. bear with me.
BenTheMan Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I sent an email to staffATdebunked, and it got bounced. Did I screw something up?
Reaper Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I sent an email to staffATdebunked, and it got bounced. Did I screw something up? yeah, its supposed to be staff@dbunked, you don't include the first "e" in "debunked"
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 Ben, I thought I already signed you up when Snail said you were interested. Anyway, thanks to everyone who's sent an email. I'm surprised I got this much of a response. I'll soon try to get some articles going and real work going on so we can test out our procedures and get moving. It shall be fun.
Dak Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 nice-looking site. a few randomish observations: Do science>living things>evolution and science>evolution point to the same place, or have you accidentally added the category twice? what if theres something that sounds like it could well be a myth, but is actually true? would you have an article stating that, or is it just a myth-database? is the removed thread holding area supposed to be viewable to guests? do you need users to seed the forum till the membership picks up, or do you have enough members allready?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 Well, there's only one evolution category in the system - the script grabbing them out of the DB and putting them out on the category list page is borked, I think. If it's actually true but people think it isn't, we'll debunk the skeptics. Indeed it is, because I had to send an abuse message about Atomikpsycho and I wanted the hosts to be able to see his posts. Members would be great.
Mirabelle Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I would enjoy that but my field is rather dull (quality control/assurance, cGXPs, quality systems, etc). I'll get me CV updated and send it anyway. Boring industry regs have myths too...
Mag Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 where do we sign up Capt? also, I dont think you replied to my last email.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 Whoops. I went back and sent the response.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 Just a note to all that signed up: you should have received an email from me describing what we'll all do next. I'd like to get dbunked moving now that we have the manpower.
Royston Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Which reminds me, I have some shiny logos and headers to finish off tonight As the article side of dbunked is set to go, it'll be rude not to get the media side underway...actually I'll just start a thread, because it's not really staff related.
Reaper Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I've read the emails you've sent, its just that I haven't got the chance to really sit down and get started on any articles yet. I've been tied up with finishing up a bunch of college work... This thursday I'll get a 10 day break, so I'll send in an article by this weekend.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 Don't worry, I'm not trying to force you to work, I'm just making sure everyone got the message and is still alive.
