blike Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 From article at CNN: "Astronomers have fashioned an Earth-sized virtual radio telescope that can distinguish celestial features 3,000 times smaller than the those observed by the Hubble Space Telescope."
aman Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 Not bad when the world unites for science. Just aman
fafalone Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 If our governments weren't so occupied with spending so much money on saving people from themselves, image how much farther science would be with just twice the money its funded now? For example, the government spends more money on its "war on drugs" than it does on education, and both of those are thousands of times what it spends on sciences. This is a small part of a much longer rant I'm known for
Sayonara Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 The UK Government is currently spending 3/4 Billion taxpayers' money replacing a fucking football stadium. It makes me sick. [edit] I see nobody bothered to turn on the lingo filter
