How many cents are here? It is a lateral thinking puzzle...so think outside the square. Give me your working too.

Six cents

35c

Four Dollars

12 Cents

$0.68

two quarters, four dimes, one nickels, five pennies, and three dollar bills.

That's if I understand your question correctly. If not, then I seriously have no idea. I figured this by taking one of the four dollars, and splitting it into loose change. I made sure I can make all of the other amounts with it as well.

nickel + penny = 6 cents

three dimes + nickel = 35 cents

EVERYTHING = 4 dollars

two dimes + two pennies = 12 cents

two quarters + one dime + one nickel + three pennies = 68 cents

That is my workings of it. Once again, not sure if I understood it the way you meant it.

If not, then I guess I'll say 1, since only one word there (cents, c, dollars, Cents, and $) matches the original (cents)

18 Cents if we rely upon Text base only.

or Two if we ignore the Math and adhere strictly to texts.

or is it 4 if we count the Title and Question description?

well...

aside from what everyone else said,

Six cents

35c

Four Dollars

12 Cents

$0.68

if we add those up we get: 521 cents

1, 18, 521, 4, 2 are all incorrect. 68cents i am unsure of, i got this from one of those late night game shows. Been really annoying me of what the answer is so why not use some of the brilliant minds here.

ok lets try a long shot, Canada, America, the Euro, Australia all have cents so that`s 4 how many other countries use it?

maybe that`s the way to go?

86 cents

cents can be seen as a variable.

six cents + 12 cents = 18 cents

since 0.68 is represented as cents, then 18+0.68 = $0.86

However, it could be simply 18 cents if you want to be strict about it.

The more strict answer is "six cents"

I have no idea how Americas currency works, but by the sounds of it a cent is the smallest (value) coin followed by 5 cents.

If you go to a shop they give you change in the smallest number of coins possible, and doing so with each of those amounts gives 6 cents.

i.e. 6 cents is a nickel and a cent, so thats 1 cent

12 cents is a dime and 2 cents

$0.68 is 2 quarters a dime a nickel and 3 cents

and the rest have no cents involved.

Thats just one interpretation. i.e. my guess, not my solution.
