Please Suggest me a Study Oriented Project

I am a BITS-Pilani computer science student 3rd year

 

i want to do a study project on particular topic. please some one suggest me a topic or field which will we useful for me as a computer engineer and further during my MS.

 

my areas of interest are algorithms, networking(wireless), cryptography.

 

but i am not much exposed to more fields so please send me suggestions from which ever field you feel better to study.

Anything that touches on emergence or ergodics should do it, mate. Or functional and logic languages. Quantum computing (which might be only 10-yrs away)?
