Sad. Same with this one.

Wheres atm when I said, "5 scrolls, perchance?"

No, that's on the first page. It's a reference to the length of the Torah, with was relevent to the discussion even in it's flippant format.

Psychic Ellie Crystal could be right on target with her understanding of the "Bible Code"...http://www.crystalinks.com/biblecodes.html...what do you think?

Hold on. You have to slow down. You're losing it. You have to take a breath. Listen to yourself. You're connecting a computer bug I had with a computer bug you might have had and some religious hogwash. You want to find the number 216 in the world' date=' you will be able to find it everywhere. 216 steps from a mere street corner to your front door. 216 seconds you spend riding on the elevator. When your mind becomes obsessed with anything, you will filter everything else out and find that thing everywhere. But Max, as soon as you disregard scientific rigor you're no longer a mathematician, you're a numerologist.[/Quote']

This is representative of how I feel, quoted from a character in Darren Aronofsky's film "Pi"

I have seen someone use the bible code to get the sentance "The bible is false". If this can be got from the bible code in the bible, then either the code is fake or the bible is. You choose.

Why not both?

The funny thing about these Bible code folks is that they never suggest why on earth anyone would want to put a code into the Bible. Back in the days when the Torah was being written, the people writting it were almost alone in being able to read and write, so they wouldn't have needed to worry about people stealing thier prophecies even if they stated them explicitly.

I just find it funny that the bible code 1 was written before 9/11 and failed to predict it while the bible code 2 written after 9/11 did predict it...whats the go there?

Well, Bible code 2 didn't technically predict anything. It's a postdiction.

I remember hearing about this a few years ago. According to Michael Drosnin, (the writer of "The Bible Code"), from what I recall, a nuclear apocalypse was to occur in 2006.

If you're talking about this:

It's a great example of bad math. And here's an equally great deconstruction:

When applying a similar methodology, stunning predictions were found to be hidden in the Microsoft Access Developer's Toolkit version 2.0 End User License Agreement!

Among other things: OJ DID IT!

I chose "sort of" and it asked me to explain, so...

A lot of psychoanalysis can be done on the Bible.

no no... you need your faith checked.

its not about hiding prophecies, its about gods hidden messages to us. clearly the bible was written by god, who else could have predicted all this?

The bible code is unfortunately real

by real i mean real to only the "blind",the ... the people who are well ill just say that the code is man made

many man made things have turned out to be evil or very bad for the human race

So, what do they do for vowels?

I think you have to pay $250 for those before Vanna will go turn/touch them on the board.

I'd like to solve the puzzle.
